About the Role
We are looking to add a career-minded, thoughtful, compassionate veterinary technician with excellent communication skills. Our focus is client service. We want staff that reflects our desire to care for pets like they are members of their own family.
The Veterinary Technician fully assists in the different clinics’ areas, from the receptionist to the doctors, to maintain and improve the quality of care given to the patients and to aid the doctors in achieving the greatest efficiency by relieving them of technical work responsibilities.
The Veterinary Technician assists in multiple tasks and procedures, from appointments, to providing care for patients, including physical examinations, extensive client interaction, dental and surgical procedures, pre and post-operative patient care, vaccinations, laboratory testing, euthanasia, patient nursing care, as well as client education, accurately entering service charges into client processing database, creating and presenting financial options and estimates, preparing medications and inventory.
Requirements
Prior veterinary technician experience (minimum 1 year).
Excellent oral and written communication skills with past experience in customer service.
Must be of native or high level proficiency in English.
Willingness and ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments.
Proactive and able to work independently, with the willingness and ability to work within a team.
Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
The ability to build relationships among a diverse group of staff.
Candidate must pass a state background check.
Must be flexible, dependable, and be a team player.
Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
